skipping or not skipping?

why some DVD players skip all the annoying messages at the beginning of some DVDs and others don't!!
I use to have a conia M100 that skipped everything then changed to Zensonic Z330 which skipped nothing! then a Tevion 4000 skipping everything great and the latest is LG DF8900P that skips .....nothing!!!
is there a way around this?
maybe a firmware update for the LG DF8900P?

Those are called PUO's (Prevented User Operations). They are standard and are supposed to be recognized as such by players. Those that don't simply delete them in memory, the same way some players used to delete Macrovision tags...

Unless there is a firmware hack, the answer is no AFAIK that is.

Or you could rip and burn each of your owned titles and in that process remove the PUOs. Not much of an option really...
