have just found this on DVD Reviewer: IMPORTANT: You CAN remote hack your PHILIPS player without paying the rip off fees demanded by chipping companies, click here for more info! Also Sonys, Toshibas, Panasonics and most JVCs cannot be hacked via the remote. A chipping company (and therefore payment of a fee) is necessary.
