Guys
Ive deen quitely prowling around this site for some time now and usually all my questions have been answered especially the computer ones
As an old guy it,s time to be dragged kicking and screaming in to the 19th(lol)
century and get a dvd
To the point
Dick Smith (Newcastle) have a Digitor g1932 dvd player for $49 odd which the young sales guy claims will do the lot including playing dvd,s captured via computer (tv capture) and burnt and display my photos also on disc
Could anyone give me some guidance or perhaps point me in the right direction
Mike

It sounds as though your sales guy might be over simplifying things a bit as to what you can do with TV captures

I'm not familar with that particular model but most retailers have a $50 DVD player on offer at the moment and they all seem to offer a reasonable entry point into DVD, don't expect it to be overloaded with features and you won't be dissapointed. Do keep in mind that you don't need to spend much more than that to get a fully featured unit, I would perhaps suggest spending some time defining exactly which features you require, and which would be nice to have and then making an informed decision.
