Is there anyway of setting up Alternate Line Service (ALS) on a Vodafone
SIM?
I would really like to have two Vodafone numbers on the one SIM using
ALS, so I can have two incoming lines at the same time and select which
number to dial out on. I know it is done in the UK, but here in
Australia they don't want to know about it for some reason.

Surely it is just a case of programming it into the SIM. The feature
appears to be available in all GSM phones.

It needs to be available in the network.
There are many features which are part of GSM spec that have never been
developed into Australian GSM networks.
For example, SMS diversion.

Or anywhere else in the world with that one!
Perhaps in a test lab it was used.

Yeah, interesting.
The commands are already defined, but I doubt there is any software to
support it anyway
