Fact: Most people in Australia have mobiles
Fact: That is what these SMS payphones will be competing with

Most people have mobiles. It's widely known that payphone use is decreasing
due to the increase in mobile phone use

30c call from mobile? That's a blanket assumption.

Give up Rod. You know as well as anyone that most people in Oz have mobiles
and payphone use in going down due to them.

Nope - people will use mobiles wherever possible for SMS over these
payphones - been saying that from the start.
It's widely known that mobile use is going up and payphone use is going
down.
Any normal person would use a standard fare cab over one of these peak times
ones if a standard one was available. Peak one = last resort, just as an SMS
payphone will be over a mobile.

Ummm, you on drugs? I clearly stated another reason to use a mobile for SMS
over a payphone.
Being tied to a payphone is less convenient than using a mobile - not that
hard to understand.
