it costs next to nothing to make a mobile call

ive ported a few of my old numbers over to revtel
they havent been charging me the 15c network fee per day
so im not complaining :)

Once the network is established a call costs practically nothing, of
course they are paying wages and a very small amount on maintenance,
etc. In reality once the network is established call costs would
probably be comparable to landline costs.

There is no real reason for timed calls on mobile phones except for them
to have a massive profit.

mobile base stations have a number of channels available to make calls, the
longer people use the mobile, the smaller the availability of said channels,
thus the relevant reason for having timed calls.

Hutchison 3G National Roaming was with SingTel Optus rather than

Try explaing the untimed local fixed line calls when the same sorts of limits
apply to the fixed line inter-exchange network.
