Hi All

I have tried to unlock my new Nokia 3120 prepaid from Virgin mobile
Australia (Optus network) with Code calculate from Cyper GSM V2.7

I tried code 7 and 1. I got a code error both times. I am worried if I try
more times and get errors it will stop me from unlocking the network.

Nokia 3120 IMEI

355037002986001

Network Virgin (Optus)

Can someone tell me what I am doing wrong. Is the 3120 DC4 phone?

Cheers

Mark

You get 5 shots at it. Try this one.

#pw+71 38 20 53 31 41 07 3+1#

You needed to select asic2 and custom serial 32835 instead of V2 (33820)

Let us know how it goes.

Hi Spank
I noticed you helped that guy unlock his phone. Your comment about using
the Custom Serial instead of the V2 code caught my eye. I have had 4
unsuccessful tries unlocking my daughter's new phone.

Details as follows:
IMEI: 353788002406364
Provider: Telstra Mobile Comms
Location Australia
Software version is V5.29 22-10-04 RH-30

I genereated the first 3 codes using Code Calculator CyberGSM V5.4
For the first 2 tries, I am fairly sure I had the Griffin Clip setting, but
not 100% sure of this.
First try #pw+ 22 97 05 15 14 22 12 2 +1#
Second try #pw+ 04 65 23 47 01 00 74 0 +7#

Third try was with V2 code
Third try #pw+ 04 38 43 47 01 00 74 0 +7#

Fourth try was withg a code provided by "elder" at http://www.unlockme.co.uk
forums.
Fourth try #pw+ 03 06 03 47 01 00 74 0+7#

So far have had 4 unsuccessful goes and looking down the barrel. Can you
help?
Thanks
Geoff

G'day Geoff.

Looks like a tricky one mate :(

Just did a little looking around and came up with 2 options. However,
option
1 was the same as the 3rd code you tried (Asic2/V2), and option 2 ended
up
being the same as the 4th code you tried (Asic2/New Griffin). Bugger.

All i can really suggest now is to hunt around for some info.
www.nokiafree.org is a good website.

Perhaps post your results in the forum there, as there's some clever
buggers
there.

One more dud code will mean you'll have to invest in a data cable to
unlock
it. Can get these off ebay for around $20 delivered from Asia with a CD
full
of tones, wallpapers etc.

Good luck, and let us know what the end result is :)

Awesome!

Just out of curiosity, do you know what the asic/serial settings were?.

Also looks like he chose password 5 out of the list of 7. Interesting.

Yep, thats correct.

Although Geoff didn't mention the model number when he first posted. I had a
feeling it wasnt the 3120, and figured it out to be the 3200 pretty quick :)

Right SIM out.

What message are you getting now?. If you've tried it too many times you'll
need to use a cable to unlock it.
