View Full Version : Troubles at the Mint Leaf - Head chef resigns for offer by Melb Rest only for the Melb rest to turn there backs on them
As reported in todays West Australian news paper on page 3.
Melb MRR contestants offered the head chef at Perth MRR a job at their
restaurant. Perth head chef resigns then contacts the Melb Restaurant
and the Melb Restaurant says they no longer want them.
This will end up in the courts.
Mint Leaf should have sacked that head woman clashing with the Mint
Leaf chef. All his own doing.
The Melb couple should be repremanded for not playing by the rules.
Think they'll get sued over this as it is.
Ash and Amanda have offered their chef and catering staff while the
Mint Leaf hire another chef and staff.
My thinking is both Melb and Perth should be kicked off the show.
Melb likely to get to the final two because the judges will be
favourable to the two professionals that were running Elle Macs
restaurant in England.
SA or Bris deserve to win and to be the final two.
NSW, VIC and WA have no right to be there.
MRR 2005 the worst of the worst. Last year 5 good couples. This year
only two of any note. The Sydney couple are just to young and making
to many mistakes. Perth mint leaf owner doesn't have the guts to do
what was needed and that was to sack that lady ordering the chefs
around and the dirty tactics of Melb will end up in the courts.
Melb and Perth couples should be brought up before the judges over
waht has occured and should both be up for nomination as punishment
but that won't occur.
I suspect Sydney and Perth will be up for nomination this week.

Yes that is ok if they get poached to another restaurant but to offer
them a job and then to go back on their word and to retract what they
offered after they said they quit the Mint Leaf is quite un ethical
don't you think.

There's obviously a lot at STEAK. Has the Perth chef STUFFED their
chances of being taken back?

Quite smart use of words there.
But it was only a matter of time before things were going to BOIL over
in the Mint Leaf. And Andre was starting to STEW in his own disgusting
juices. I think their heads should be SERVED ON A PLATTER to the voting
public care of some harsh words from the judges.
Lets just hope that this is a killing blow for the overgrown lumps in
Perth.

heh. WELL DONE again.
and yeah, I agree.
What kind of a hard-arsed stance is "and that's all we're prepared to do
..... for now".
For a man his size, he should have bigger balls.

Based on what they showed Melb never said they wanted him. They said
they'd think about it, and never said they want him before telling him
they don't

Yes my aplogies to the group. Badly reported in todays West Aust
paper.
From what I saw on the show aired tonight was quite the opposite to
what was reported in the news paper.
Shane (head chef for Perth) pushed to many buttons.
What's the owner of the mint leafs name? well he was quite reasonable
and made himself the one to go between the chef and the customers.
Shane should have taken that as a victory in commonsense.
Should have been dealt with weeks ago.
MRR didn't mention Ash and Amanda coming to theor rescue, maybe that's
for the Sunday show.
Almost worth keeping Perth in just to see how it pans out so to speak.
Perth will be voted out next, then Sydney and then feel sorry for the
next as Adelaide, Brisbane and now Melb are the most likely to win
going on the show tonight. Air time seems to be going more to Perth
and Melb than the others. The others will hav eto come up with
something compelling to get more air time.
Melb has the professional team in command which I feel is unfair to
the others. Will voters vote for a team of professionals which in my
book shouldn't really be there. Should be between the amatuers on who
should win.

Why is Melb any different to Adel and Bris? All 3 teams have a
professional chef in charge and amatuer front of house partner
