base dv-328, unlockable??

Hi,

I just got a base dv-328 dvd player, but now have seen a movie i want( the minus man), only available in region 1.

Could any one help me out and let me know if this player can be made region free. :confused:

It should already be region free, have you tried discs from another region and found that it is not?

I haven't tried any other region discs yet, nut the manual says it will only play region 4

The manual will say that but it may not actually be the case.

hi,

just thought i'd let you know i borrowed a region 1 dvd and the player played it no worries, as if it were like any other dvd i'd used.
