I have not received any audio on the ch#30 HD (SBS) from Mt. Tassie for a
few days now.
Anyone know anything, or is it just me?
I have tried a number of times to talk with SBS on their 1800 #, but I get
put through to a voice mailbox that is full and the end result of that is a
loop with no human voice.

Did you check if SBS channel 30 sound settings are correct?
On my TEAC STB, I need to be careful not to select AC3 audio as I do
not have the equipment to decode it. If it gets selected nothing will
be heard and the STB remembers the setting until I change it back.

Yes, I've checked the audio. my STB (Digitec5000) shows that there is only
one audio stream, (MPEG).
I've rescanned/deleted the channel/and rescanned again to no avail.
I would still love someone who is receiving off the Mt Tassie tower to tell
me if its just me, or is it all over.

I'm in the Latrobe region too - I'm using a Thomson HD box and get normal
pic and sound for SD SBS and picture only SBS HD... used to have sound, not
sure when it broke...?

Thanks for the considered reply,
There must have been a station problem, as I got private email to say that
they also were seeing the same problem with the broadcast stream in our
area.
It got resolved over the weekend, but what was disappointing was that there
has been no response from SBS either to my email, or voice mail.

Thanks for your response.
Seems it was fixed since Sunday.
(I've only just got home again and retried and all OK)
