I have a LG 76 CM Flatron TV model WT-32Q821P which lookes pretty good when
connecterd to a Standard definition set top box. I doubt if this TV would
be improved by connection it to a High definition box but where do I go to
find out for certain without purchasing one or borrowing one?

Thanks in advance

I have the same set and am happy with it. But it is only standard definition, it cannot accept any progressive imput. It can do its own progressive conversion though in its drp1250 mode.
Hope this helps

I have no problems getting it to display progressive scan DVD's. I haven't
go the sets speci sheet available but I'm fairly certain that it said it
supported progressive scan.

Are you sure about your facts. I have tested my set with a sony dvpns730p through component leads and have switched the unit into progressive mode and I get a display similar to split screen picture in picture.
When this tv was for sale Lg had no Hd units available.
