On the back of the "LIFE IS BEAUTIFUL" ABC Classic FM spruiking CD that
came with Saturdays' Sydney Morning Herald:
'You can also hear ABC Classic FM online at abc.net.au/classic and
through selected digital television services on channel 882."
Guess free-to-air digital TV isn't a selected digital television
service!
Anyone know which digital television services carry ABC Classic FM?

I don't think that's carried here in Brisbane. In fact, the DBA web site
(<http://www.dba.org.au/index.asp?sectionID=13>) knows nothing about it
(channel 882), nor does the ABC web site, or indeed any web site
according to Google.

But someone stuffed up the text on the back of that CD - it lists
Classic FM for Adelaide, Canberra, Melbourne, Sydney. Last time I looked
(this morning), 106.1 in Brisbane is occupied by Classic FM.

And according to <http://abc.net.au/classic/freq/> Classic FM also
broadcasts in Perth, Darwin, Hobart. Why would someone put Adelaide and
Canberra on a supplement to the SMH but not Brisbane, Darwin, Perth?
AFAIK Fairfax doesn't publish any newspapers in Adelaide or Canberra.
OTOH I know for a fact that the SMH is sold in Brisbane - I bought one.

Just to make things clearer to the reader, this is the section in
question:
'Each week more than one million people choose to unwind and escape
with ABC Classic FM. This CD features just a small selection of the
world's most beautiful music. To hear more, tune in to ABC Classic FM
on the following frequencies:
Adelaide 103.9 or 97.5 FM
Canberra 102.3 FM
Melbourne 105.9 FM
Sydney 92.9 FM
You can also hear ABC Classic FM online at abc.net.au/classic and
through selected digital television services on channel 882.'

If you're getting ABC Classic FM on your Strong set top box, you're the
only person in the country that can!

The ABC radio channels on DTV are DiG and DiG Jazz.
