The other thing I can't get over, apart from the uglyness is FWD. My olds
had a Verada and the amount of times I got caught out doing U turns and
ended up doing a 3 point turn.
If Camry/Magna ever want to seriously challenge Falcodores they're going to
have to consider RWD.

You're fucking kidding, aren't you?

Do you realise the difference in turning circle between a Magna and a
Falcadore is so small you couldn't get your dick into it?

Well, anyone but you anyway :)

Drive location is secondary to looks.

Magna FWD fights the attempted turn, so it can't be rushed in these
matters:-)
Falcadore doesn't.
And then there's the insufferably *stupid* STUPID variable ratio on
Commodes, WITH Power Steering, FFS... And the Cabbies still hate 'em.

The absolute only thing on earth it's good at is hanging U turns.
Any other time it's forcing the tyres conquer almost insurmountable
odds to keep the whole shootin' match on the road.

Have you driven both or are you quoting some marketing figures?
The car I drove couldn't perfom a U turn in the same space as my VT Commy. I
know this for a fact.

You need to do a 3 point turn in a Magna so the clunking of the fucked CV
joints don't deafen you. Owned one for 5 years and what uncle has to say
about the turning circle is spot on.
Front suspension, CV joints - hell - basically the whole front end including
transmission was fucked at 80000km's.

I've driven plenty of both, and didn't notice the slightest difference to
tell you the truth.

There might be a couple hundred mm's on paper or so, but it's *fuck all*,
and the chaces are that if you got into trouble with sucj a turn in a Magna,
you'd more than likely do the same with a Falcadore.

Try slowing down a bit next time, and see how you go :)

That's not by design then - it's because the components are shite. My Saab
C900's are front-wheel drive and the CV's usually last upwards of 200000 km
before failure under what most people would consider a 'normal' set of
overall driving conditions during the lifetime of the vehicles.

I had one outer CV-joint replaced recently and the car has just hit the
240000 original km's point. Sure it's over 20 years of life - I'm sure that
if those km's had been accumulated in a shorter timespan (say 5 to 10
years), the CV's probably would have failer much earlier in the odometer
count.

Craig.

Hmmmmm, why?
So you can use the massive HP of a std Falcodore 6 to shorten the
radius?

Have you looked at the turning circles?

funny, my AWD verada does not have problems doing u turns, and its so much
fun on a wet day watching the superior RWD Falcondores flailing around
trying to get grip as i blast past them with not one bit of wheelspin.

Maybe I missed the punchline here.. but since when has the avalon been RWD??
