Near $2000 for a tank with a NOS sticker on it, but can't afford
to wash your car?!
Cheers,
Rod.

Looks like a light coating of dust over a clean car to me, not at all
like my grimy chariot. Mind you my $1700 LPG tank doesn't have NOS stickers.
As for the cost, that $1700 expenditure has saved me about $10k so far.

My car usually gets washed every 2 - 4 weeks, however it will stay clean
for a maximum of 48 hours as my driveway is about 200 metres long and
mainly dirt. Also, I'd say about 75% of the time that I was my car,
it'll rain within 24 hours :-)

Each place I spoke to in Canberra quoted me $2500 to $2700. $1950 with
a 3 year 100,000km warranty, from "The Gas Man" in Sydney seemed like an
alright price to me. They were pretty good with the install and were a
friendly bunch. I was not too impressed however when I booked it in at
7:30am for it's 1500km inspection, and nobody showed up until 8, then
the guy who did the inspection acted as though me being there was a huge
inconvenience for him.
5000km's in however, there have been no problems thus far. Too bad the
NSW GovCo doesn't offer a rebate though!
