MRR - who's up for nomination this week - Bris and who?
I week ago I would have said Perth and who. The reviewer gave Perth a
good mark for staff and for food. Brisbane changed their menu and
stuffed up very badly.

Sydney had the accident with a shelf. That can happen but will it
effect the points on staff.

Adelaide had a good review like Perth.

Melbourne to be reviewed on tonights show. Can't see them going up at
all. So at this stage it looks like Sydney and Brisbane are up.

Surely the only reason to introduce the "wow factor" was because without it
the only nominees would have been Bris and Melb?

The otherwise disinterested voters of NSW and SA - where the balance of
power now lies - will likely vote for Bris and Melb over Perth so Seven has
almost certainly assured the demise of the Mint Leaf.

Well, SA might vote more for Perth, but I doubt it'll be enough to save
them.

I've been told Perth has to be up every nomination no matter what.
Its because the Perth Mint Leaf gets higher vote turnout which gives
more revenue for the 7 network. Those 1900 numbers rake in the cash.
Just like last year when Ash and Amanda won with a high voter turnout
for the Perth restaurant.

Personally I feel Melb already has been voted out and don't like the
fact that the couple which ran Elle Macs restaurant in England have
more experience than the other couples who have never run a restaurant
in their lives.

Its like having a footy match down at the local oval and calling in a
few AFL players to help out your side. Its simply a unfair advantage
the Melb couple have.

Melb will win by a mile.

Elle Macpherson didn't have a restaurant. Nathan was her "personal chef",
according to earlier episodes.

More on topic, though, the food does look a lot better in 16:9 widescreen.

Elle has a restaurant in London which Nathan ran for the past year
before returning to Australia.

This is a interesting one.
Perth people will vote for any state except Vic.
NSW likely to be the same. Next on the chopping block would be
Brisbane for NSW mainly because Qld are a force in state cricket.
All other states would vote against NSW.

If Perth, Adelaide amd Brisbane are left over then I think Adelaide
will win. Pity they don't show the voting percentages after each week.

This year Adelaide deserve to win. Perth have been badly run and only
now they have probably the best chef of the lot but not enough time to
groove in with the show.

Brisbane, the Mrs is more into a music career than focusing in for the
MRR show. I can't see Dicko giving her a contact, maybe she thinks he
will.

Sydney have the best turn over out off all the others but for the life
of me I can't understand why they have a chef which barely speaks
English. How they can understand what he asks I will never know.
Much be much confusion in the restaurant at times. Maybe they need a
guy at thefront that speaks both lingo so he can translate what needs
to be ordered.

Do you think it only comes down to silly interstate rivalry? Don't you think
people might like restarants in other states because of the couples'
personalities, or because -- heaven forbid -- they might actually like the
restaurant?

I guess if Perth wins again it'll prove your point, because it'll only be
because the other states apparently hate each other so much.

That boring old interstate rivalry card is totally bogus, dood!!

I bow to your superior knowledge of "The Body" :)

FWIW, the MRR line was simply that he was a "personal chef" who "cooked for
her".

No, its alive and well.
And because of this Melb will be voted out on Saturday when the show
is taped for Sunday. Then we get to see it on Sunday night unless some
nice folk phone the restaurants to see who survived or are at the
taping of the shows and can post who got the chop.
