Hi All,

I have a SD Teac STB (dunno the model). Has been working great for ages, but
now there's a crackling/humming noise coming through the speakers. At first
I thought it was the speaker cables, but changing them didn't fix it. I
noticed that when I play a DVD it doesn't do it (Sound goes from STB ->
VCR/DVD combo unit -> Sound system). So I tried the STB on the ordinary
telly, and it still does it, so is definitely coming frm the STB.

So, my question is, does this mean the STB is buggered? (which yeah, I guess
it does!), and any ideas on what causes this (power surge?)

cheers,

Brian

If it was a Power surge, A Thunder Storm will do it.
get it back to your retailer quickly, Teac, have appointed an Administrator
for the Australian division of the company.
