View Full Version : Pioneer PDP-505HD - price predictions
Seriously considering the above model.
Best price offered is just under $7500 - what predictions relaistically for
plasma prices over the next 12 months?
Any good websites with considered papers on pricing trends - it's noticable
that 42" seem to have stabilised at $3k for crap, raising to $5k-ish for
good makes like Panasonic

You're right Boz,thats about the going rate,i too am waiting to buy a "full featured" plasma when the price is right,I think towards the end of the year when the new models are released we might see cheaper prices.
If I can get a Hi-DEF for about $4000,I'm in.
Cheers.

They are going to become the standard TV and normal people do not
spend $4000 on a TV
So the price will have to drop to $1000 and it should happen when they
sell a 100 of million a year.

Sam
I think they will drop substantially over the next 24 mths. bit not to $1000
I paid $1700 in 1996 for a 68cm Philips set,and that was the going rate then

I just picked one of these Pioneers in Brisbane for $6200. Am extremely
happy with it.
Oh, that price included a LG HD STB.
Cheers,
