SCART to Component for plasma - clear picture but it's purple!

Does anybody know why, when I'm using a SCART to Component cable out of a PVR (SCART Out) to a plasma (Component In) the colours aren't right?

Could it be an unfixable incompatibility problem?

What is the video output of the PVR set to? Maybe you've got it set to RGB
or something? Check the settings menu.

More like the SCART output is set on NTSC

you may or rather most likely have a RGB output on your scart,not many boxes
put out component via scart,we sell an amp to convert such and it works
well,

Thanks all... The settings appear to be correct so Trevor's right. It needs a converter. I think I'll be happy with composite or S-Video for now, given the price of the converter.
