Hi Christopher. I am running older ACCUSOUND speakers and I love them, good sound and good value.
Try the 695's first, for a more "refined" sound, tighter bass, less boom.but hey! there as nothing wrong with the bigger ones.
Are they comimg from Audio Australia?
Cheers. Thornton.

I'm gettng these through work at staff price. ;)

My boss put an order in for them this week, he got them for a good buy
price, since for some reason the other packs with the smaller rear
speakers cost a few hundred dollars more.

>From the photo's their pretty sexy looking. Initially I was going to
buy myself a set of Richter PM-401's, which look nice, I was paying
about $1040 for them it the sub, but after having a good listen to them
handling Eagles When Hell Freezes Over DVD in DTS I was a little
disappointed, the stereo handling of the speakers were a little poor.

Then listening to those on a set of Vega F45's, the Vega's kinda shat
all over the 401's.

I was also considering a JBL set which had the E80's, EC25 & E10 and
E150p all for about $1600.

The sub though for the Accusounds is extra the SW250 is about $440 or
so, which ill look at getting down the track, I don't mind the Richter
SW101 sub, although I found it maybe had a little too much bass at
times, but that cant be a bad thing :)

Ok,they sound pretty good, and you could do a lot worse, but i prefer the 695's as i prefer a tighter bass.
Why not go for an audition, harvey/n sells them, have a listen, bullshit the salesguy, and if you like them, buy them from your guy.
Cheers

i've heard much good feedback about accusound, hence why i'm moving
towards that route, especially for the price i'm paying :)

I originally had my money on a set of Richter PM401's with the sub, but
after careful listening with playing stereo cd's & DTS eagles dvd, I
was very disappointed.

Sound is a very personal thing, I listened to lots of speakers and loved JAMO, but disliked AARON,as the bass was too boomy,i bought ACCUSOUND PHASE ZERO, and loved them and made a kit centre speaker which is "brilliant", so go out and listen and make an educated decision. kit speakers will save you a fortune and they can sound great.
