View Full Version : Printable DVD Print Quality

We've gotten a couple of different brands of printable DVDs recently.
One, Ritek 8X DVD-Rs print nicely. I then got some Princo printables (4x
DVD-R), wich have a rougher surface and don't give as crisp a print
(text is blurred compared to the Riteks). Then last week we got some
Ridata 8x DVD-Rs from a shop in Elizabeth St (MEL). They have a smoother
surface and print quality comes out pretty good. Printer is a Canon
Pixma 3000 with a DVD tray.
I was wondering what you guys think which discs give the better or best
print quality.
It's becoming a tough world out there. Looking for discs that not only
give a good burn, but which also give a quality print finish.....

I use Max Max
They are certified by Pioneer.
I get the 8X with Smooth finish.
Cost around $22 for a tub of 50.
I hope this helps

Mmmm Pioneer does not certify media at all.
Only the dvd forum does that and has no mention of max max been
certified by the dvd forum.

That's interesting because the Maxmax 8x media I have has it clearly printed on the cakebox label "Certified by Pioneer". What that actually means is anyone's guess.
