I don't get it. I have seen lots of old vehicles advertised for sale and the
low km appears ridiculous.
How does a car travel only 18,000km in 12 years? Whats the reason for this?
Do they swap out the motor for a newish secondhand one? If thats the case
what about the other parts of the car?

By the time they have been 'round the clock three or four times, it gets a
bit meaningless doesn't it?

The ad shows that the "car" has actually done 248220kms
The "engine" has only done 18124kms

It's only driven between his home and the local McDonalds on weekends.

Cheers,

Some people just don't use their cars very often. It's not completely
unheard of.

My old man did less than 50k km's from brand new in his Suzuki Vitara, and
my mum's old Mazda 323 had travelled 32k km in 20 years.

My old XE did less than 5000klms for a few years
bought it with 116000klms on it
traded it 9 years later with 186000klms

most of those were done in the first 2 years of owning it when I drove
it to work every day
after that it would sit in the garage for weeks at a time
