What are currently all your personal favourite Aussie road trip
destinations (that are located each at least 100 km from where you
live) you love going on a drive to (in either a normal car, or a 4WD)
and why ?

Buckets way (spelling could be wrong) - starts around Glouscestor near
Newcastle to Tamworth NSW. Very low traffic, incredible scenery, demanding
curves/crests/hairpins.
Also, Bells Line Of Road, Blue Mountains NSW, same as above for appeal
except for traffic and cops.
Any car, ANY car is fun on these roads.

The only time I've seen a cop on Bells Line Of Road is during all the
fires a couple of years ago, and he was following the fireys.

Rainbow beach (Southeast Queensland). Take the mighty EL for a blast along
some nice open straights, then when you get close to the coast, the road
gets very hilly and windy, and the surface is of decent quality. The beach
is nice too. Good for a surf and some fine looking ladies. Best thing within
100km of here in any case. Did it in my mate's R33 Skyline last month. Was
obviously more fun than the falcon, but the falcon just has that comfort and
relaxed atmosphere that makes it hard to want anything else.

V8 crackles on the way down using engine braking.
V8 passes everything like they're standing still going back up. :P
