"Car giant calls in receivers"
7 April 2005

MG Rover is going into administration after its proposed Chinese
partner pulled out of a deal.

Shanghai Automotive Industry Corporation said grant aid had not been
forthcoming so "there could be no deal", according to company sources.

Trade and Industry Secretary Patricia Hewitt said: "Tonight MG Rover
has announced that their board has decided to call in the receivers".

Given your opinion, and that of the OP, I'd say the bigger risk is
Rover was under-rated, not over-rated, at least in aus.cars :-)
