View Full Version : Logan Motorway gnome$$ at work
The Roadtek gnome$$ were busy setting up a speed camera in the E-toll
lane at the Stapylton toll booth this AM.
The semi (had a transponder) in front of me had kindly set off the new
speed camera at Kuraby as a warning.
I agree with the enforcement as it is a little intimidating to have a
semi massaging your rear bumper while you are doing the 60 speed limit.
However this is going to be a nice little revenue earner for Powerpoint
Pete as they move towards encouraging motorists to all use E-toll.
Of course to really make money, they could abandon tolls altogether,
keep the 60k zone and set up speed cameras! Govlotto!
Manual payment may work out a lot cheaper....
Cheers

registered :_) so perfectly legal , I wonder if I broke the limited limit .

That's a 'fixed' device?
Sorry, I don't understand whether you're referring to a measurement
device that's been installer or a fixed speed camera.

It's a fixed device hanging down from the underside of the canopy.
Same as on the Gateway.
The trucks on the Gateway are slightly slower at the tolls than on the
Logan.
All for the safety, however some radar ahead warning signage would help
slow some of them down though to make it safer for the rest of us.

you sure it is a speed camera
there are the truck recognition cameras(Infrared devices) that read
number plates
you will find these at the Mt Gravatt-Capalaba Bulimba creek bridge
and also near the foot bridge at Goodna also
the flash on the truck could have been a faulty Etoll unit, I get that
quite often on the logan motorway

No, I'm not.
I'm also not sure it's not, nor am I sure it's anything else.
Because I don't know what it fucken-well is.
Which is why I fucken asked, and then referred it as "the Kuraby
whatever-it-is..."
And I still don't know what the "Kuraby whatever-it-is..." is.
Are you pissed or somethin' today?

no plates? perfectly legal?
Sounds like Victoria has been trying to emulate QLD circa 1960 if that's
the case, just registered or not!
