Using XP SP2, I am unable to create a new network place for http: locations.
The problem is erractic - I can load some sites and cannot load others. I get
the login and password screen, but it acts as if I entered the wrong info.
It's driving me crazy because these are my sites - I could regularly publish
to them until I installed the service pack.
When I try to open the server side in Frontpage, it says the site does not
exist - but it does! I can open it in Internet Explorer and through the
server control panel.
I have the same problem at work (XP Pro SP2) with a networked, firewalled
(Shorewall v 2.2.1 on Fedora Linux) , T-3 line and at home (XP home SP2) with
dail-up using the built-in XP Firewall.
