Recently purchased a phone with 2.4ghz and it is causing a severe distortion
of my video sender that is on the same frequency.

Should I exchange the phone for a higher ghz I think I saw one 5.2 ghtz??

Do video senders only come in this frequency?? ie 2.4ghtz

All of the video senders that I've seen recently are 2.4GHz. Unfortunately
there is a lot of stuff jammed into that band. Getting a new phone should
fix the problem if you can get one at 5.2GHz

Mine also interferes with my wireless network and microwave. With a bit of
planning i can generally avoid any major problems, but not alwayws. It
would be better if they operated at different frequencies.

I think you can change the channel within the 2.4GHz bandwidth, if that
makes any sense. On my video sender there are DIP switches for this purpose.

I think you can change the channel within the 2.4GHz bandwidth, if that
makes any sense. On my video sender there are DIP switches for this purpose.

Yep, you can, I was getting interferance when I purched my AV transmitter, I just changed the channel on the back and it worked perfectly

is your phone a panasonic as this brand causes problems with other devices

just changed to a Panasonic 5.8GHz and now all is well.

I did change the switches...I had 3 options A, B, C but all had the
interference......mother is getting the other phone!!! just in time for
mothers day!!!

All that the 2.4gh means is in that bandwidth. It doesn't mean all phones
are 2.4gh exactly. Shit if that was the case everybody in the neighbourhood
would be answering each others phone calls. It simply means they are set
differently in the 2.4gh range. e.g. 2.402gh and 2.4025gh which is loads
away from each other, remember we are talking gh here and not the old kh
systems which would crosstalk at that difference.

But keep in mind things like Bluetooth that operate in the 2.4GHz range
use frequency hopping. So if your mobile phone is Bluetooth enabled and
turned on and left near the transmitter/receiver that too could be a
source of interference.

GHz, not gh.

G = Giga
Hz = Hertz
GHz = Giga Hertz.

Similarly, it's kHz, not kh.
k = kilo
kHz = kiloHertz
1,000,000kHz = 1GHz

So 2.4GHz = 2,400,000 kHz

We now return you to normal programming.

Interferes with your microwave? Nothing should interfere with it. If it
does, and it's under warranty, get it replaced cause it's leaking radiation
(the metal that stops it from leaking out would stop radiation from coming
in too).

I assume you mean the microwave affects the phone, and not the phone affects
the microwave?
