Hi All. I have a TV with a built in VCR. Does anyone know if I can record my ancient VHS tapes to DVD using a DVD recorder plugged in to the AV connections on the TV? I was thinking of playing the tape on the TV and plugging the recorder into the AV sockets. Will it work? My old VCR only has two outlet connections. Video out and audio out and I have an old TV that has the same with no video S sockets on either. I briefly borrowed a Lite On 5005 recorder but could not get it to work on the TV.

yes it should work the TV with inbuilt VCR its A/V out should send the signal to the A/V in of the dvd recorder, but you will need another video monitor so as to see what the dvd recorder is receiving.
If your monitor does not have A/V in,use the R/F out of the dvd recorder and tune the monitor/TV to the appropriate channel.
