I have put 215.60.R15's on the Avalon and it's sitting
pretty. I did take the toe off the front, steering is
now more point and shoot. No twitch or understeer, heeps
more rubber on the road.

Just put a set of new tyres on the V6 Camry a couple of months ago. I went
from the Bridgestone ER50 to the Goodyear Ducaro GA (205/65/15).

The Ducaros are great so far. They are quiet and the ride is very soft. When
I left the tyre place I thought the guy hadn't pumped them up enough, but when
I checked at home they were at 39 psi.

What are your requirements? wear? handling? wet weather performance?

Requiremnets are a semi reasonable performing tyre in the area of grip/wet
weather and wear. Not too fussed about noise levels. Have bought the car
from the oldies for a coupla K, 96', 150000k;'s hence willing to spend a
grand or so on tyres and shocks so as to last another 5 years....= cheap
motoring.
