The missus was in the Red Rooster drive-through tonight (for some reason
she elected to not feast on my new recipe "chop 'n' slop"!)
A female copper walks out of the shop with her take-away and, seeing the
dogs, comes over to make goo-goo faces.
After a brief exchange the copper glances over and mutters "I wonder what
those blokes are doing"
"Oh; just changing a tyre.... I thought they were doing a drug deal"

Missus says "p'raps they're changing a tyre AND doing a drug deal. Why else
would they be down there in the dark instead of up here under the lights?"

'Yeah you're right..." says the copper. "After we finish this [the
take-away] we'll go have a look!"

Maybe she realises that its much more important reduce the crimes that
actually have victims, like robberies, bashings, drink driving etc. Maybe
she would rather patrol the streets and protect the citizens than bother a
couple of blokes sorting out their marijuana bags. Maybe she thought she it
was more important to patrol for drink-driving on a Friday night (alcohol is
easily the most dangerous drug is terms of deaths caused under the
influence) By the way, is there such a thing as a lethal dose of marijuana?

I congratulate the constable on her common-sense, which, as Mark Twain once
observed, ain't all that common.

nah, alcohol is my drug of first choice, caffiene is second, and that's
about it.

I tried dope a few times, but unlike President Clinton, who famously didn't
inhale, I couldn't inhale. Not being a cigarette smoker, it always made me
cough and splutter. At the drug parties, I used to give up pretty quickly
and go back to the frig for a coldie.

I just remained amazed at the fuss made over the recreational drugs. In
terms of damage to the lives and health of human beings, the two most
dangerous drugs are the legal ones, alcohol and tobacco. If you took every
person in Australia with an alcohol addiction, and replaced that with a
heroin addiction, their health, and the health of their children would
improve dramatically.

The so-called war on drugs corrupts our police forces, corrupts governments,
provides income for terrorists, and put thousands of young people in jail
for committing "crimes" with no victim.

I don't condone the use of dope, or speed, or heroin, or ecstasy, but I
don't think it is a crime either. Its just a public health issue, like
smoking and alcoholism.

Except for all those that take bad drugs (by bad I mean poorly made or
overly concentrated), thier families, the people that they abuse while UTI

So what your trying to say is that to maintain perfect health we should all
take Heroin?
I cant say that Ive ever met anyone thats been taking Heroin for a while but
I cant imagine that any short or long term useage could be good for you at
all.
Unless Im reading the post out of context, heroin is not good for you,
period.

Why did you bother posting any of that? You didn't refute anything they
said, and just sprayed insults at them. that means they won, and you lost.

Out of curiosity, do you have any proof of this?
I mean like studies showing the negative effects of say heroin as
compared to alkyhole. (or positive)
Difficult I know, as with heroin being illegal, people taking it would
be more predisposed to self-destructing than the average alky drinker I
would guess.
I am curious is all.

I've heard this before, but the heroin would have to be pure (not 10%
street stuff cut with all sorts of poison). Big problem would be that it
would be INTENSELY addictive and cost about $100,000 a week.

??
Heroin is quite cheap - it's grown on trees, so to speak, and the
processing is piss-easy in terms of expense. The Crims run the market
and what with GovCo forcing everything they do to be more expensive
that it would otherwise be, it's not cheap, or pure.

A for John B's question - I'm working on finding a source that's as
close to unimpeachable as I can find - for obvious reasons, not the
least of which being that there are GOOSES out there that do nothing
but swallow the 'news' - as supplied by turds with an agenda
altogether different to what they espouse publicly - utterly
uncritically, and who wouldn't know if a brass band was up-em, 'til
they got the drum.
Anecdotally, I know it's easier to give up Heroin than tobacco
products - seen it done in about three cases over the years. The only
smack addicts I ever know, BTW - and I'm betting alcohol as well, but
I don't know any soaks who could afford heroin as well as the booze to
be able to see the difference there.

BTW - the Australian GovCo has Heroin (Opium) supplied for medicinal
purposes from poppy farms in Taswegia. It's 'legal' for GovCo to do
that, because GovCo says so.

The interesting thing is that if Heroin was decriminalized, and made
available on he open market, you can bet GovCo would belt a tax on it
to make the price up to the illegal goods price mark it's at now. And
laugh all the way to their next 1000 or so study-tours and
free-fuck-free-piss conferences.
And hock-shops and many car-boot sales would disappear overnight.

And here's the fun bit.
Opium and to a large extent Heroin is a NATURAL product. And not
patentable.
Now who stands to lose a shitload of MONEY in the palliative care
game, for instance?
Don't believe me?
Go check the prices at the local chemist and you'll see.
