is it just me or is aus.cars reaching a new low...?

Too many regular posters only interested in fluffling up their fragile egos,
apparently unaware the majority of their audience see them for what they
are, socially inadequate, probably immature - certainly not the witty ,
sparkling, interesting image I suspect these people believe they are
generating.

Just because a few people (who are generally just as witless) reply to your
useless threads, the I believe the majority wish you would just shut up and
go away.

Postings that are pointless, offensive, witless, crude - and which generally
end up just demonstrating what a tit the poster is, and all too often have
nothing or next to nothing to do with AUS - CARS.

Get a grip
get a life
get an education
get a friend
Talk to a real human being for more than 3 seconds
get a girl friend
wait until puberty

I don't know what the answer is for each of these people but aus.cars is
certainly sinking into a mire of vaguely unpleasant digital mediocrity - I
don't have to come here to listen to this brainless twaddle, there's enough
of it on TV already.

Big Al.

While I agree with you I can't help thinking that the tone of your post was
to put others down and hence prop up your fragile ego.

I hear you brother. I used to enjoy helping people in my spare time in this
forum but now I just can't be arsed, the fuckwits have ruined it for
everyone IMO.

It's not just you. One troll has stooped lower than ever before and will
consequently probably be the subject of legal action _very_ soon.

Just imagine the looks I get with my number plates being AUS-CARS..lol
everyone thinks I am 90 odd and a dirty old man.

Muslim Girls and Lancers.........

I think there is quiet a few imposters which is obvious,as Athol
normally has something usefull to say and generally is full of usfull
LPG dribble for anyone that asks and rmcgrice has a great appreciation
for old cars,Noddy tends to raffle off lots of crap with the odd usfull
engineering tip,Michael C has cars but dose not know much about them
and persists to ask strange questions, and Clockmeister has been
dribbling on for years in most of usenet, including aus.computers for a
while about 2 years ago,Jason James continues to always be a
laugh,SerialPest is full of usfull information about the latest Mitsu
developments,be it world wide or local events.Dan-- generally dribbles
his innocent garbbage which he admits to,Al seems to have gone quiet
for a while,and Rainbow warrior,well what can I say,I think his usname
was well chosen all those years ago.

aus.cars has the patronage is deserves. Over a decade of popular usage of
usenet, people still feed the trolls. Its so simple. It reflects on the
fools who take the bait everytime. You all supposedly hate serialpest.
However its the same fools who are baited time and time again.

It is not pesty or any of the other trolls that has the problem. I can
rattle off the names of all the fools who reply to pesty time and time
again, but you all who who they are.

Nope. The legal action will identify the individual responsible. What
others do with information contained in court documents is nothing to
do with me...

At least it's not half as bad as some other newsgroups where 99% is spam and
useless crap.

Yeah I know a couple that sadly went that way. The good posters just
get sick of wading through all the crap, so it ends up not being worth
their while, and then all you're left with is the crap.

Aus.cars, while not that bad yet, is on the same track.

Usenet is one of the few unmoderated forums that still remain. The immature
take advantage of this, as they cannot survive anywhere else. The
signal/noise ratio is a direct reflection of that fact.

Do as I do, employ some basic filters and plonk lists, and most of the noise
is muffled.

Problem with moderated forums, at least the ones I've used, is that they are
way too moderated. They are usually run by teenagers or people in their
early 20s who love to exercise their little bit of power. I guess I'd prefer
the unmoderated myself.
