LG DV9723P or the LG DF8900P? im looking for best picture quality, is it worth the extra $50 for the 8900? also has anyone got any pics of it running in action so you can see what its like picture wise?

I don't think a digicam pic of a TV screen is really going to allow you to discern the finer points of a DVD player's picture quality.

The quality of the DF8900P's output is very good IMHO. Colour is well balanced, contrast is good and the overall impression is that the image it produces is very film like.

If I had any criticsm to make it would be that perhaps the DF8900P's image is a tad soft, i.e. edges are perhaps not as sharp or as well defined as on some other players I've seen. However, as overly sharpened images look really bad, esp. with poor quality material, it's probably preferable for a player to err on the side of softness.

This may be more of a concern if you're feeding the player's output into a large plasma screen or projector, but overall I'm very happy with the results on my 76cm widescreen TV. :)
