Hi people I have upgraded my xms888 to 1.2. But how do we get mkv or omg files working on it ?
Would I have to re-encode the avis ?

MKV and OMG are not supported, you will need to re encode.

OMG = Oh My God? Think you mean OGM (ogg media).
Decent chance that an ogm contains compatible video already, so you would only need to re-encode the audio. Mkv's can contain just about anything.

Didn't even notice, but yes, OGM I was referring to, as was the original poster I'm sure.

No, there wil be no more official firmwares for this model either.

Did they ever fix the widescreen issue? If not, they should be shot or sued or both.

It's an ESS issue, not something they can fix.
