I am looking for a website where a friend of mine can display his photo's. It seems like there may be quiet a few photo's and they are looking at the freedom of any size pictures they have taken the photos at.

I was going to suggest EYO but as there photos are too big and the quantity looks pretty huge also.

Any recommendations as to what free websites to use?

Currently they are using imagestation.com but I am unsure how easy it is for others to see the photo's.

Imagestation is definitely the best!
You have unlimited amount of photos and for others to see the pics you simply send them an invitation which tells them how many photos are in the album and displays one of the photos, and a nice background. Gives them a direct link. You also have options on who you want to be able to see the pics, and you can choose a background, friends can leave comments, and you can see who has looked at them. I have sooo many albums on there! I think it's great

I've used http://www.myphotoalbum.com/ before and that has done everything I needed.

yahoo- geocities if u want to make a personal website dedicated to your photos.... it was great when i set mine up and had lots of big photos.

I use Photobucket (http://photobucket.com/) and haven't encountered any problems yet. So far so good. :)

photobucket is good, but the amount of photos might be limited by photobuckets overall upload (free account)
I currently use www.fotopic.net and while you must upload photos, then 'publish' them to a gallery. it is stl quite easy to use. 250 meg storage. no resizing of photos (if you change the settings to not resize) and external linking is allowed (though they rename the filenames).
http://nightshadow.fotopic.net as an example.

One thing to be wary of with fotopic is the quality. Unless you get a full membership, they reduce the quality of you photos. It's not too bad, but it can be quite noticable on some pics. I have an account there and am quite happy with it.

I tend to use ImageShack http://imageshack.us who allow remote linking and supply all sorts of ready made link for posting into forums and such.
