What will happen to the re-sale prices on these vehicles now? Will they go
up because they will be harder to get and become collectors items? Or will
they go down, because people won't want the problems of getting parts in the
future?

Definitely go down. How could the value possibly go up because they will be
'harder to get' ? There are a ton of them out there - they're not hard to
get at all.

Was in Birmingham UK where Rover essentially are for the last few
weeks and its massive news. They were talking about the more expensive
models dropping circa 36% already.

Incredibly, I saw heaps of Rovers in the UK and they have a bad
reputation, the Rover dealers were still in operation and no signs
saying 'factory clearence' etc were to be seen.

Pity the punter who purchased one in the last year or so.

Watching Top Gear & Fifth Gear since the collapse and reading a few
articles run in the Pom papers, there are some real bargains to be had with
little haggling. I believe the cars that came off the pro-line before the
collapse are still locked in a legal wrangle over who owns them.

Supposidly both the Rover & MG models are based on older models in terms of
Spare parts of which are widely available. Warranty companies in the UK
are doing special deals for Rover/MG owners.

loser-marques are not collectors' items.

the resale value will get fucked in the arse harder than atec and
reg-john at an aus.cars meetup.

luckily, mg-rovers have already had their anuses loosened up pretty
well when it comes to dropping resale values.
