Help!

my boyfriend's discovered a passion for photography using manual slr cameras. I've actually got a canon 300N which he says is not as good as the old nikons where you get to fiddle around with the knobs.

he'd like those old ones where you have to manually turn the knob or something to go to the next film (if that makes sense!)

any ideas as to what type of old slr camera i can get him?? [his birthday coming up]

thanks

Sticking with Nikon you could get nice a FM or FE or FM2 or FE2.

Do NOT buy the FM10.

I got a Nikon FM2 with Simga (I think) zoom lense which my brother in law left to me when he moved oversea. I would like to sell it for a long time but keep forgetting. Let me know if you are intersted.

Canon F1 is also one of the best manual camera. Pros swore by them not that long ago. Agree Nikon F3 is a great piece of work. Anything before that may need to check out some German cameras. These things are very expensive to run, so it might not be a good idea buying one for your partners.:D The next thing they want could be their own dark room filled with dark room equipment.
