Anyone had any experience with this box.
I believe it is a new model.....
I bought one this morning, $95, seems OK. I returned a G7659 previously, because it would zoom in strangely on a 4:3 TV ( e.g. here is the STB: http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~npj/tivo-STB/tivo-via-digital-stb.jpg
; Here's straight analogue TV:
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~npj/tivo-STB/analog-TV.jpg ; and here's a
picture showing the different areas shown by the two:
http://home.swiftdsl.com.au/~npj/tivo-STB/difference.jpg )
The G1955 does not seem to have this problem. (need to press the blue remote button to change the aspect ratio).
Also I can't tell if the G1955 is the same as the "LSD2", as they're listed as one item on this page: http://www.dt.com.au/category.php?pagefrom=&cat=AV:TV:DTV - however the front of mine looks different to the one shown.

ZZtop, Sunrise is shown in 14:9 letterbox on analogue so you see more
than you would see with a set top box set to 4:3 (12:9) pan & scan.

Sorry, you are correct, and I was wrong - I was looking previously at a 4:3 broadcast, and on the G1955 'Sunrise' appears exactly as it did on the G7659.
