Does any one out there know if it's possible to disable macrovision on the Yamaha DVD C920. Any comments on other Yamaha models will also be of benifit, as it could be the same method.
I know the place where I purchased it from used a learning remote (programmed by yamaha rep) to make it multi region, but not macrovision free.
For those that don't know macrovison is the smart copy protection system that is pissing me off no end because now I can't connect my DVD via the VCR to my TV (yes my TV's got no composite video inputs only RF).
Before I get some reply saying why don't I buy a new TV, I answer it by saying I blew it all on $6500 of receiver, dvd, and kick ass speakers ;<
