ROWA....how to convert mpeg to play? help please

I have a good mpeg file i wish to play on this.
Is there a nice simple proggie that can convert it to play on this please...i.e. to a avi file.

Surely the Rowa will play raw MPEG files without having to convert them to some other format. :confused:

mmm, good point, but maybe it is a very large file and the op wants to shrink it down to fit on a cd?

The Rowa will play mpeg files, from the sounds of it its an xsvcd (maybe a popular sci-fi series )and the Rowa just doesn't cope.

I have a set of hi-quality xsvcd files (700mb for 40 minutes) but conversion on them has proved a nightmare due to the original methods used to encode them.

Been there done that :)

Its seems that the files are a little out of standard and nothing interpretes them correctly, I've tried all sorts of methods even expanding them back out to massive uncompressed avi's.
