The most recent movie you have watched (include a brief description or impression if you can) :)
1. Bringing Out The Dead (Nicolas Cage, Patricia Arquette) Moments of bleak reality juxtaposed with fast-paced surrealism, interspersed with wonderfully engaging black humour.

2. Shrek The Third - saw it because the GF wanted to. Wasn't really interested, was more boring than the first one, not as many adult directed jokes.

9. Pretty Baby - Recently on Foxtel Classics. A sensitive-ish portrayal of a controversial topic. Brook Shields as the 12-year-old daughter of a prostitute giving up her virginity to the highest bidder sounds tacky, but filmed with all the loving affection of a David Hamilton photograph. Oh, and Susan Sarandon has a great rack :D

Hmmm...I thought the portrayal was unrealistic with regard to the initiation of the daughter into prostitution. The likelihood of a child of that age having her first sexual experience with a middle aged man and coming (excuse the pun) out the other side of it unfazed and behaving like a precocious Shirley Temple is pretty far fetched, and probably just demonstrates either naivete or wishful thinking on the part of the director.
I did really appreciate the general ambience and period authenticity, though, and totally agree that Susan Sarandon was just scrumptious. :D
Okay, one more to go...what have you watched lately?

10. Ocean's 13 - Not bad. Not a good as Ocean's 11 for mine, but worth seeing still. I love Al Pacino - he normally has such a presence in a movie, but in this I thought he was not quite up to the usual very high standard, still good though. No need to watch it again.

Ok, new topic:
A movie with subtitles/non-english dialogue, or no/very little spoken word through it, that you found stunning or very engaging.
