Has anyone seen this box?
How makes it and what type of connections does it have (eg. optical audio???)?

Aldi's products are usually their own brands: Medion or Tevion. I'd hazard a
guess that this box will have either one or two SCART connectors and a set
of composites. But I'd only be guessing.
Worth a look tho.

This isn't the same model ALDI will be selling, but it is a $79 Tevion as
well:
http://www.dealsdirect.com.au/cart.php?m=product_detail&p=682
It has one SCART, composite/audio RCAs and a digital coax RCA.

Medion is not Aldi's own brand. Medion is sold in Australia at Coles Myer
outlets - an Aldi arch-competitor.

If you say so... I don't go to Coles or Myer so naturally associated the
German brand with the German supermarket chain which was the only place I
knew of who stocked it (with the exception of an online retailer).

oh, but the box in question is indeed a Tevion, so I was right in that
regard.
