Hi all
If anyone can help
My nephew just purchased a Phillip 68cm Lcd TV Model 26PF9956 and he wants
to connect a LG set top box, dvd & pc to this unit.

We got the dvd, stb working fine but when we connected the PC via the DVI
connection we got a red background on the screen and the colours on the
screen are a pinkie colour, I tested the graphics card in my pc and
connected it to my plasma via the DVI cable that was supplied with the
plasma and it works fine so the problem seems to be either with the cable we
used on the other TV or the Phillips TV itself.
With this silly TV it will not accept a video signal from the DVD or STB
using DVI you have to use component and/or VGA connection. DVI is assigned
for PC only according to Phillips

Thanks Godfrey

It's probably something to do with the refresh rate of the screen, and only a PC
is capable of outputting the correct refresh rate for the DVI connection. That's
based on the problems I have with sending a progressive signal to my plasma via
component cables, but I think it's related.
