Is there anyone in the Gold Coast/Brisbane area who can help me with
mods to my V3?

Hacks available, but most people report they are not satisfactory.

Yes, I'm familiar with that site. And with

http://www.motomodders.net/

But the process sounds like too much of a technical challenge for me.
I'm hoping to find a keen modder who will do the job for me--I have a
hearing defecit, so can barely hear callers, even at max volume.

Wouldn't it be better to try your local Motorola "service" centre?

Tried that already--they say no mods possible; this is of course not
true, but thats the official line.
