Only Telstra would have an offer with so many catches, fine print
disclaimers, vague terminology, references to various other products and
their disclaimers, terms and conditions and lock-in clauses.

That is why i don't use Telstra...
Some of their deals are not bad... But the rest of the info is so vague you
don't know what you are getting into.
And in most cases locked to for 2 years.
Not even the resellers can tell you what it all means!

I'm on Vodafone's $79 cap (for $500 worth of calls)... it's a good deal
though my reception at home is limited and if I find something
worthwhile I'll leave Vodafone.

I looked at Telstra's cap deal - I think it was $69 for $300 worth of
calls. Not bad... I thought. I spend less than $300.

The catch is the call cost.
>From memory, Vodafone is 30c/30seconds. Telstra is 50c/30seconds.
That changes Telstra's deal to $69 for $180.
(Compared to Vodafone's deal $79 for $500.)
If you spend $150/month then it's no problem, of course.

I don't know if the above relates to the Telstra Home/Mobile caps, but
it's worth checking that kind of thing out.

Thanks Scott. Not as bad as it was earlier..

Vodafone is 30c per 30sec, with 20c flagfall (on the $49/$79 caps)

Cheers,

Jason.

A: Because it messes up the order in which people normally read text.
Q: Why is top-posting such a bad thing?
