Is there any STB with a hard disk which will allow the user to record
a program on one channel while watching a different channel still on
digital? As can be done with any VCR on analog TV.

Thanks

I have been looking for similar and found this one which also has a PC link

Apparently it can also be set up to record two channels at once.

Yes. Dual-tuner PVRs such as the Topfield TF5000PVR-T. There are others as
well. The Topfield lets you record two channels simultaneously whilse
watching some thing you recorded earlier, others let you record one channel
and only watch another, it varies according to brand/model.

It's a Twin tuner PVR that you are looking for. I just bought a
Legenddigital 160G from Hantrex in Melbourne $630 delivered. Make sure you
ask for the updated model LPVR-C which has additional outputs now(2x SCART,
component,RGB) and better software.
Record + View/Replay
Record + Timeshift Record etc.

Well, just like a VCR, you can still use the analog tuner on your TV to
watch a third live program while your dual digital tuner PVR is
recording 2 other programs.
