They are an appalling POS but no doubt the later models are reliable
enough.
You would only be happy with one until you drove something else which
was significantly better, even the Hiace which is much better than the
Econovan is a shocking drive compared to something like a MB Sprinter.
I'd much rather drive my late model Euro semi trailer than an Econovan.

It's a cheap work hack, and does the job fine, if you have a pussy arse then
fine, ask your boss for a limo.

They are not only cheap they can be bloody dangerous especially when
empty on a wet road.
Carrying a load such as tools all the time improves the rear end grip
significantly.

Well if you think a vans dangerous you would have no chance driving a ute.
Maybe you need to back off the loud pedal a bit in the wet,

I've owned the Mazda equivalent to the Econovan and I now drive a Hilux
ute.
The Hilux has a lot more power than any Econovan and it can be tricky in
the wet but its always predictable unlike the shitty van.

I can't say driving Toyo van was any better than Mazda, Toyo is a pin in the
arse to park actually, the Mazda turns on a dime, besides what good is an
empty van to a tradie?
