Telstra Online Text Buddy is a quick and easy way to send text messages -
from the comfort of your desktop computer.

This is especially handy when you're at work, left your phone at home or
have a flat battery. Or maybe you can just type faster on a full size
keyboard?

Whatever the need, Telstra Online Text Buddy is a simple and convenient way
to send text messages from your desktop computer.

Hmmm, it might be a firewall problem or something. I suppose you could:

....I find it hard to believe Telstra makes you download an application to
enable this relatively simple kind of service. Most other servers just
provide a web interface.

Mind you - I wouldn't use a service that calls itself a "buddy" anyway.

Downloading 8.14Mb of software, then installing on a box you might not
have privileges to do so, or isn't win32, just to send an SMS, is more
convenient than a quick web-based interface?

You sir, are a fucking moron. Although we already knew that.
