Is dry cabinet useful in Sydney?

Hi, I heard the humidity of Sydney is quite low, the average is about 50%. Hence, there is no need to use dry cabinet for storing photographic gears. Can someone tell me if it is correct? I'm going to move to Sydney, so I'd like to understand more about this. Thxxx!!! :dD

It depends on which part of Sydney you're living in. I live near a river, so I need a dry cabinet to keep the fungus away. If you're living in an apartment in the middle of the city, there's probably no need.

although i live in an apartment, it's quite close to a river, thx for yr opinion, i guess i need one then.
