Can recent buyers of Toyota Kuger CVX post their Drive away prices and the delears details here so that it could be benificial for new buyers to get a market feel

Let me guess - you're from aus.toyota and you're sniffing about
because you suspect some of the dealers don 't want to get left
holding their bag and are massively discounting the things to move
them because Nissans latest offering in that segment is massively more
techo advanced.

How'd I go?

'sif you'd admit it:-)

Never liked the look of the "Freddy",
looks odd, like a jacked up wagon not a AWD and old-style at that...

For mine, buy the Nissan Murano even it it costs more coin, light
years in front of the FreedyKruger

Toyota prices are being cut across the board, perhaps they should not
have marketed such a overpriced list- price in the first instance.
[HiLux is next to price drop, its WAY over the odds no matter how good]

The market has spoken

The lead they have is shrinkings, its the SUV vehicles and Commercial
range that is saving its arse.

They will finish the year as #1 o/a sellers, but Holden is snapping at
its heals without any 4x4's or vans to speak of

Not with the Kluger though.

Discountnewcars show it at $4K off list. They also provide a very helpful
onroads calculator by state so you can do your own maths. BTW the Grande
is $6K off - but why would you want a Fleddy even at that price? Cheers

Sorry Toby

Your guess is wrong I am not from Toyota Aus...I am just a private buyer.

Your thinking is right that Murano is the way to go but unfortunately I am looking for 7 seats. Even the Pajero is cheaper than Kluger but fuel consumption is an issue.

Pathfinder fits the bill as the Petrol and diesel models are priced the same but the ST-L reaches 55K as compared to 43K for Pajero

holden is hanging on to the rope with both hands.

i have friends at holden and let me tell you, they are not popping any
champagne corks. the next few years will be rough for them, the VE is
going to struggle.

toyota will dominate holden. the biggest gains will be made by the
small car makers such as kia.

Doesn't Challenger have 7 seats? $35K. How much would a gas conversion
cost? Cheers

Are you requiring an off-road vehicle? Or just 7 seats?

Have you checked out the Territory? When I was shopping for 7-seater
(12months ago) I had the Kluger and Prado as well as Territory on my list of
finalists, after driving the three Territory was a clear winner. Kluger has
since been reduced in price, but Territory TX is $38990, throw in the third
row for $1500 iirc, and you are laughing at the CV Klugger which starts at
$43990 before you add the seats, and is completely lifeless on the black
stuff, pulseless when it comes to design, and seriously lacking off road too
(same with the Territory - that's why the RWD is the better option)...

Only drawback on Territory is the interior fit and finish. While some
areas - such as cloth and key parts of the dash are very well designed in
terms of ergonomics, and extremely well put together, you don't have too
look too far on the edges of things and under the dash too see they were a
little sloppy with the design. As far as the body, engine and drivetrain,
it is very robust, and the new model coming will have a more powerful engine
(and a fantastic 6-speed gearbox - which would have to be the other drawback
with the current model)
