Hmmm looking at 104 octane boost on the net.. doesn't have MMT

But you think it's OK to pollute the air placing others at risk just so your
car goes immeasurably faster?

Who's the real wanker in this scenario...

Everyone pollutes the air with their vehicle. I used 104 in the
bike for years to reduce the chance of engine damage. It has 2
cylinders and I ride it infrequently so it's pollution
contribution would be SFA. It demands 98+ RON so I'm now using
Ultimate, supposedly the cleanest petrol available, certainly low
in benzene, from communication with BP some years ago only 1%
whereas ordinary 92 unleaded had far more carcinogenic benzene.
MMT has been around since the '50s and even up to 2000 it was
considered OK to use, so I wonder why the change of heart. I'm on
the last of the old 104 that contains MMT, the new stuff doesn't,
in fact they don't tell you what is in it. Canada has had MMT in
petrol since about 1976 so it has undergone many years of real
world testing.

That may be the case now with regard to the octane boost 104.
MMT certainly works as an additive. Just ask any major fuel
company. 104 used to contain MMT.

A snip from a 2000 document with regard to Australia:

"The use of the manganese additive MMT is highly controversial
but has growing acceptance in the refining industry. MMT may be
useful in producing lead replacement petrol and to achieve the
lower Euro-4 aromatics level."

I'm disappointed. I was looking forward to the story about some
environmentalists consuming a Peugeot! Cheers
