The sizes I'm looking for are small-mid (Corolla, Astra size) to mid sized
cars (Camry) which are relatively fuel economical. Some mids 90s
Camry/Apollos and Corolla/Novas fall into this category. Are they any good,
or do you have any other recommendations?

For the money, you'll generally do a year better than Corolla with a
Pulsar and another year better with a Cino/Swift. Pulsar is more
comfortable and probably has better equipment levels than equivalent
Corolla and you can't kill the CIno with a rock (just don't drive into a
Prado in it). Cheers
